Thank you for choosing The Owl as your right to choose provider. We’re open for referrals, although waiting times may vary depending on where you live and how your local NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) allocates funding.
We understand how frustrating waiting can be and will do all we can to see you as quickly as possible.
What an Integrated Care Board (ICB) is
NHS care in England is planned and funded by organisations called Integrated Care Boards, or ICBs. There are currently 36 ICBs that together cover the whole of England.
Why there may be a wait at The Owl
Each ICB plans and funds services in a slightly different way. Sometimes ICBs limit how many people can be assessed or start to take medication in each financial year (financial years run from April to March). This can mean that although we can accept your referral under right to choose, there may be a delay before we can see you. In some cases, we may be unable to see you until the new financial year.
The Owl are not responsible for how long you may have to wait, but please be reassured that we have your referral and will see you as soon as we can.
